Webflow pricing: what it really costs

Quick answer

As of 26 September 2026, Webflow's cheapest paid item is a $24/mo Freelancer Workspace, but that alone will not publish a site. A real site on a custom domain needs its own Site plan too, from $25/mo for Basic or $39/mo for Premium, the plan most blogs and marketing sites need for the CMS. Every editor beyond the workspace owner needs a paid seat, and traffic past Premium's included 50 GB a month costs extra in bandwidth tiers. A freelancer or small agency building one client site with a blog should budget for Premium plus at least one seat, not the $24 headline alone.

What you will really pay

What a business actually pays for Webflow each month at three sizes, with every line of the bill shown. Built from the prices above as of 26 September 2026; open “How we worked this out” under any total for the assumptions.

Solo

Solo: 1 site, 1 editor, ~20-page blog, ~10k visits/mo

$39 / month

medium confidence
  • Premium Site plan, billed monthly (includes 50 GB bandwidth)$39
  • Starter Workspace with the owner's included full seat$0

Plan: Premium · billed monthly.

How we worked this out

The blog needs the CMS, so Premium is the cheapest plan that fits (Basic has no CMS). The owner is the only editor and uses the full seat included in the free Starter Workspace. Bandwidth is our estimate: we treat each visit as roughly one page view at about 3.3-4 MB, which is Webflow’s own mid-point guidance per page view (50 GB ‘usually covers 5k–25k page views’, i.e. 2-10 MB each; 1 GB ‘usually covers ~250 page views’, i.e. ~4 MB). At ~10k visits that is ~33-40 GB a month, inside the 50 GB Premium includes. Month-to-month billing. Billed yearly the same setup is $25/mo. Bandwidth is the uncertain part: a heavy site (Webflow's range allows ~10 MB per page view) could pass 50 GB, and the 100 GB option adds $30/mo billed monthly.

Small team

Small team: 1 site, 3 editors, ~200 CMS items, ~50k visits/mo

$167 / month

medium confidence
  • Premium Site plan, billed monthly$39
  • Bandwidth add-on to 200 GB total (+150 GB), billed monthly$90
  • 2 Limited seats x $19, billed monthly$38
  • Starter Workspace with the owner's included full seat$0

Plan: Premium · billed monthly.

How we worked this out

Premium covers the CMS (20,000 items). The owner uses the included full seat; the other 2 editors get Limited seats (Content editor or Marketer role), which Webflow lets any Workspace plan buy, including the free Starter Workspace: 2 x $19 = $38. ~4 MB). At ~50k visits that is ~167-200 GB a month, which needs the 200 GB bandwidth option (+150 GB). Month-to-month billing. Billed yearly: $25 + $60 + 2 x $15 = $115/mo. At the most optimistic end of Webflow's range (~2 MB per page view) the 100 GB option (+$30) would be enough, making it $107/mo month-to-month.

Growing team

Growing team: 1 site, 8 editors, ~1,000 CMS items, ~250k visits/mo

$732 / month

medium confidence
  • Premium Site plan, billed monthly$39
  • Bandwidth add-on to 1 TB total (+950 GB), billed monthly$560
  • 7 Limited seats x $19, billed monthly$133
  • Starter Workspace with the owner's included full seat$0

Plan: Premium · billed monthly.

How we worked this out

Premium covers the CMS (20,000 items). The owner uses the included full seat; the other 7 editors get Limited seats: 7 x $19 = $133. The free Starter Workspace is kept because no Workspace limit forces an upgrade (Growth, $60/mo monthly, adds per-site publishing permissions and site-level roles). ~4 MB). At ~250k visits that is ~833 GB-1 TB a month, which needs the 1 TB option (+950 GB). Month-to-month billing. Billed yearly: $25 + $374 + 7 x $15 = $504/mo. At the most optimistic end of Webflow's range (~2 MB per page view) the 500 GB option (+$260 monthly) would be enough: $432/mo month-to-month. Bandwidth, not seats, drives this bill.

Is Webflow’s cheapest plan really $24 a month?

Technically, yes: the cheapest paid item on Webflow’s whole price list is a $24/mo Freelancer Workspace, which is what the box above reports as the “cheapest paid plan.” But a Workspace is not a website. It pays for staging sites, AI credits and a place to hold seats; nobody outside your account ever sees it. To publish a real site on a custom domain you also need a Site plan, starting at $25/mo for Basic (no CMS) or $39/mo for Premium, the plan most blogs and marketing sites need because it includes the CMS. Treat the $24 Workspace as an upgrade for people who build sites for clients, not as the entry price for having a website at all.

Which Webflow plan does an agency, freelancer or SaaS startup need?

Webflow names agencies, freelancers and SaaS startups as its best fit, and each needs a different combination. A freelancer with one client site and a blog needs Premium for that site ($39/mo, or $25/mo billed yearly) and can stay on the free Starter Workspace until several client sites and a free client seat per site make Freelancer Workspace worth its $24. An agency running more sites should move to Agency Workspace ($42/mo, $35/mo billed yearly), which adds unlimited staging sites and three free client seats per site instead of one. A SaaS startup’s marketing site usually needs Premium too, mainly for its Webflow Cloud allowance: 2 million requests and 30 CPU minutes a month covers a marketing site with a small app bolted on, and usage past that is billed at $2 per extra 1 million requests or $2 per 5 hours of CPU time.

What actually pushes a Webflow bill up as a team and a site grow?

Two things: editors and traffic. Every Workspace already includes one Full seat for its owner, often the only seat a solo builder ever pays for. Add anyone else who needs to write or design, and Webflow charges $45/mo for a Full seat (Admin, Site admin or Designer) or $19/mo for a Limited seat (Marketer or Content editor) — and a Limited seat can be bought even on the free Starter Workspace, so a small team does not need to upgrade its Workspace plan just to add a content editor. The scenarios above show this directly: the small-team bill’s seat cost comes entirely from two Limited seats, and the growing-team bill’s from seven. Bandwidth works the other way. Premium includes 50 GB a month, and going past it means buying a tier, from $30/mo for the next 50 GB up to $560/mo for 1 TB. We estimate bandwidth from Webflow’s own page-view guidance, treating a visit as roughly one page view at 2-10 MB; the growing-team bill’s 1 TB tier is our estimate for about 250,000 monthly visits, not a figure Webflow states directly, so a heavier page could need more and a lighter one less.

Is paying Webflow yearly worth it?

Usually. Webflow advertises “Save up to 40%” for yearly billing, and the plan prices back that up: Premium drops from $39/mo to $25/mo, Basic from $25/mo to $15/mo, a Full seat from $45/mo to $39/mo, and a Limited seat from $19/mo to $15/mo. Bandwidth add-ons cost less yearly too, by about a third at every tier. The trade-off is commitment. Switching a Workspace between monthly and yearly billing also switches every seat on it to that same frequency, and any upgrade or downgrade is prorated with the credit held as Workspace credit rather than paid back to you. Skip yearly billing only if the site or the team is likely to shrink or change plans soon; lock it in once the setup feels stable.

What the pricing page does not spell out

A few things only show up in Webflow’s help articles, not the pricing page itself. Going over your bandwidth limit is not charged the first month — Webflow calls this surge protection — but going over again the next month triggers an automatic, non-refundable upgrade to a higher tier, and bot traffic counts toward the total right alongside real visitors. Cancelling does not refund the rest of the current term: only a brand-new Site or Workspace plan purchase is refundable, within 14 days, and renewals, seats, add-ons and bandwidth upgrades never are. Ecommerce Standard adds a 2% fee on every sale on top of card processing, a fee Plus and Advanced do not charge. And leaving takes real work: code export needs a paid Workspace plan, the CMS exports one Collection at a time rather than the whole site, and forms stop accepting submissions once you point the domain elsewhere.

Is Webflow cheaper than Squarespace, Wix or Framer?

Wix’s cheapest paid plan, Light, is $17/mo, but that is an annual price paid upfront: Wix publishes no month-to-month rate for Light, and the plan leaves out online payments and allows only two collaborators, owner included. Squarespace and Framer both publish monthly rates: Squarespace’s entry plan, Basic, is $25/mo ($19/mo billed yearly) and bundles hosting, the CMS and unlimited bandwidth into one flat price, with no per-seat fee until a third editor forces its Core plan; Webflow instead splits the bill into a Site plan plus a paid seat for every editor beyond the owner. Framer is the closer structural match: its Basic plan is $15/mo ($10/mo billed yearly), and, like Webflow, editors beyond the first admin need a paid seat on top of the site price. For an online store rather than a marketing site, Shopify is worth comparing directly against Webflow’s Ecommerce plans: Shopify has no item cap the way Ecommerce Standard’s 500 items does, though Shopify’s own Basic plan still adds a comparable 2% fee unless the store uses Shopify Payments. Check each vendor’s own pricing page for a current number before you decide.

These upgrades are non-refundable, and bot traffic counts toward bandwidth.

Billing rules worth knowing

  • Site plans and the Workspace are separate subscriptions: each site published to a custom domain needs its own Site plan, while the Workspace plan and any paid seats are billed on their own. One card on file pays for both.
  • Yearly billing is cheaper: Basic $15 vs $25, Premium $25 vs $39, Limited seat $15 vs $19 and Full seat $39 vs $45 per month. Webflow advertises 'Save up to 40%'.
  • The Team platform plan ($2,500/mo) requires an annual contract and has no monthly option.
  • Switching the Workspace plan between monthly and yearly billing also switches the billing frequency of its paid seats.
  • Cancelling keeps a plan active until the end of the term, and you still pay the remainder of the term. Only new Site and Workspace plan purchases are refundable (within 14 days); renewals, seats, add-ons, AI credits and bandwidth auto-upgrades are not.
  • Upgrades, downgrades and billing-frequency switches are prorated, with any credit held as Workspace credit rather than refunded.
  • May 2026 price change: the CMS and Business plans were merged into Premium ($25/mo yearly, $39/mo monthly) and Basic went up to $15/mo yearly, $25/mo monthly. Existing sites move over at their next renewal or billable change from June 29, 2026, or from November 16, 2026 for sites in Freelancer or Agency Workspaces and sites on legacy pricing from 2022 or earlier. Switching from monthly to yearly billing before the change applies locks in the current plan for one more year.
  • Bandwidth is metered per site and counts traffic from bots as well as people.
  • AI credits reset every month on self-serve Workspace plans and unused credits don't roll over.
  • Prices are in USD, with applicable taxes added at checkout.

How we checked this

Webflow: Read from Webflow's pricing page in a US-locale headless browser (monthly and yearly billing, Site, Ecommerce and Workspace sections, comparison modals, tooltips and every Premium bandwidth option) and from Webflow Help Center billing articles fetched through the Help Center API; snapshots saved. Last verified . Prices are US list prices in USD.

These prices appear only after choosing options on the vendor's page, so they are re-checked by hand rather than automatically.

What we could not verify:
  • Bandwidth per visit: Webflow publishes only a page-view range (50 GB ‘usually covers 5k–25k page views’), not a per-visit figure, so the bandwidth option in each scenario is our estimate of ~3.3-4 MB per visit (about one page view per visit). Sites with several page views per visit, heavy images or video, or a lot of bot traffic (which Webflow counts) would need a higher bandwidth tier.
  • Team platform plan: only the $2,500/mo headline is published; the cost of extra sites or seats on Team is quoted by sales.
  • Enterprise plans and Optimize for non-Webflow sites are quote-only.
  • Localize month-to-month prices for more than one added locale were not captured; only the 1-locale monthly prices ($12 Essential, $35 Advanced) and the per-locale yearly prices are recorded.
  • Whether Webflow charges different prices by country was not checked outside a US locale.
  • Webflow's 'Choose a Site plan' help article still says the free Starter plan allows up to 1,000 monthly visits, while the pricing page says its 1 GB bandwidth usually covers ~250 page views; this record follows the pricing page.

We re-check every price against the vendor's page each Monday; changes are logged on the changes page. See a price that's wrong? Tell us and we will correct it the same week.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a Webflow Site plan and a Workspace plan?

A Site plan pays to publish one website; a Workspace plan pays for the account that builds it, including seats, staging sites and AI credits. They are billed separately, so publishing a site with a custom domain costs a Site plan (from $25/mo for Basic, $39/mo for Premium) on top of whatever Workspace plan and seats the team already pays for. Every Workspace, even the free one, already includes one Full seat for its owner. An agency with ten client sites needs ten Site plans, one for each site, plus a single Workspace plan covering the whole team that builds them. Webflow bills both to the same card, but they are separate subscriptions with separate limits, which is why an invoice rarely matches the single price shown on the homepage.

Is Webflow actually free to use?

Webflow's Starter Site plan is free with no time limit, so you can build and test a site for as long as you like. The catch is that it only publishes to a webflow.io subdomain, not a custom domain, and it is capped at 2 static pages, 50 CMS items and 1 GB of bandwidth, which Webflow says usually covers about 250 page views a month. The free Starter Workspace that comes with every account includes one Full seat, 2 staging sites and 200 AI credits a month, and you can add paid Limited seats to it without upgrading. There is no time-limited free trial of a paid plan; Webflow expects you to test on the free Starter plan first and asks for a payment method only once you subscribe to a paid plan.

How much does an extra editor cost on Webflow?

It depends on the role. A Full seat costs $45 a month billed monthly, or $39 a month if the Workspace is billed yearly, and covers Admin, Site admin or Designer roles with full editing rights. A Limited seat costs $19 a month, or $15 billed yearly, for Marketer or Content editor roles that can edit content or build pages from existing components. A Limited seat can be added even on the free Starter Workspace, so a small team does not need to upgrade its Workspace plan just to bring on a content editor. Reviewers who only need to view a site and leave comments don't need a paid seat at all: Webflow allows up to 100 free Reviewer seats per Workspace.

What happens if a Webflow site goes over its bandwidth limit?

Nothing the first time: Webflow calls this surge protection, and the first month over a site's bandwidth limit is not charged. If the same site goes over again the next billing month, Webflow automatically upgrades it to a higher bandwidth tier at the start of the following month, sized to the lower of the two over-limit months, and that upgrade is not refundable. Premium includes 50 GB a month; going higher costs from $30 a month for the next tier up to $560 a month for 1 TB. Bandwidth is metered per site and counts bot traffic as well as real visitors, so a site that gets crawled heavily can use up its allowance faster than its actual visitor count suggests.

Does billing Webflow yearly save money?

Yes. Webflow advertises 'Save up to 40%' for yearly billing, and the plan prices show why: Premium drops from $39 a month to $25, Basic from $25 to $15, a Full seat from $45 to $39, and a Limited seat from $19 to $15. Bandwidth add-ons cost less yearly too, by about a third at every tier. The trade-off is commitment: switching a Workspace's billing frequency also switches every paid seat on it to that frequency, and upgrades or downgrades are prorated but the credit stays in the Workspace rather than being refunded to you. Yearly billing suits a site and team you expect to keep at roughly the same size; it is harder to unwind cheaply if your needs shrink partway through the year.

Can I get my money back if I cancel Webflow?

Only in a narrow window. A new Site plan or Workspace plan purchase, monthly or annual, is fully refundable if you cancel and request a refund within 14 days of that initial purchase. After that, cancelling stops the plan from renewing but does not refund the time left on the current term, so you keep access and keep paying until the term ends. Renewals, seats, add-ons, AI credit purchases and bandwidth upgrades are not covered by the refund policy at all, only the first purchase of a Site or Workspace plan. If you are not sure whether Webflow is right for a project, build and test it on the free Starter plan first, since that costs nothing and has no time limit.

Does Webflow charge a fee on ecommerce sales?

On the cheapest ecommerce plan, yes. Ecommerce Standard, at $42 a month billed monthly or $29 billed yearly, adds a 2% transaction fee to every sale on top of whatever Stripe or PayPal already charges to process the card. Ecommerce Plus ($84 a month, $74 billed yearly) and Ecommerce Advanced ($235 a month, $212 billed yearly) both charge 0% Webflow transaction fee, so the extra you pay for those plans can be worth it once sales volume makes the 2% add up to more than the difference in plan price. Standard is also capped at 500 ecommerce items, which pushes a growing catalog toward Plus regardless of the fee.
