Quick answer

As of 26 September 2026, GoHighLevel's Starter plan costs $97 a month plus metered texts, calls and email, covering a contractor's front end: missed-call text back, lead follow-up, booking, estimates and review requests. GoHighLevel's published feature list stops short of crew scheduling, routing, job costing and time tracking, the job side that field-service software such as Jobber is built for. A small roofing or plumbing crew whose problem is leads, not scheduling, can run on GoHighLevel alone. An HVAC company dispatching crews to a full schedule should start with Jobber. A crew that buys leads and runs a busy schedule needs both: from $296 a month plus usage, for up to 5 users at Jobber's 6 October 2026 prices.

Is GoHighLevel a good CRM for a roofing, HVAC or plumbing company?

For the customer side of the business, yes. HighLevel’s playbook for home-service businesses sets out the routine it has in mind: capture the lead, turn the conversation into a booking, take the payment, ask for a review, then bring the customer back for the next job. All of it is in the $97-a-month Starter plan, with texts, calls, email and AI billed as you use them, and users are unlimited, so the owner, an office manager and two estimators all log in for that one price.

These are the features contractors lean on, as HighLevel’s help center describes them:

  • Missed Call Text Back. When a call rings past the timeout you set, GoHighLevel texts the caller automatically, after hours included; HighLevel suggests a timeout of 10 to 20 seconds. The text fires on every missed call, even when one person dials several times in a few minutes, so HighLevel recommends running it from a workflow recipe with a wait step.
  • Google Business Profile call tracking. One switch puts a LeadConnector number from your account in the listing’s main phone slot, moves your own number to the second slot and forwards calls to it. Calls to the listing’s main number are then logged, and an unanswered one can set off the text back.
  • Follow-up and booking. Workflows send a new lead a sequence of texts and emails, and booking calendars hold the inspection or estimate visit.
  • Estimates and invoices. You send an estimate by email or text, the customer accepts or declines it, and an accepted estimate converts into an invoice. Payment runs through a connected processor such as Stripe, PayPal or Square.
  • Review requests. Once your Google Business Profile is connected, a request goes out by text or email, sent by hand from Quick Actions or the Reputation tab, or from a workflow step.

The gaps matter as much as the list. GoHighLevel’s pricing page names no crew scheduling, routing, job costing or time tracking among its features.

Where is Jobber the stronger tool for a contractor?

Jobber is built around the job itself. Its pricing page lists roofing, HVAC, plumbing and electrical among the trades it serves, and its plan cards, as saved on 6 October 2026, add features in steps:

  • Core, $49 a month for one user on monthly billing: online booking and scheduling, quotes, invoices with online payment, a website and reporting.
  • Connect, $139 a month for one user: automated client reminders, automatic payment collection, job checklists, automatic quote and invoice follow-ups, QuickBooks Online sync, and time and expense tracking.
  • Grow, $199 a month for one user: quotes with visuals and reviews, optional line items for upsells, automatic time tracking, job costing, two-way texting and custom workflow automations.

Teams pay by size. Jobber’s team-size menu runs from one person to 16 or more, and the 2-to-5-person tier, which includes 5 users, starts at Connect for $199 a month, with Grow at $299. The top plan at that size, Plus, costs $499 a month through Jobber’s sales team and adds crew scheduling, unlimited job photos and video, profitability alerts and three add-ons: Pipeline, Marketing Suite and Receptionist. On every plan, Jobber’s payment rates are 2.9% + 30¢ per card charge, 2.7% + 30¢ for tap-to-pay and 1% for bank (ACH) payments.

Online booking, quotes, invoices, payments and a website overlap with GoHighLevel, which also documents a two-way QuickBooks integration of its own. The difference is the work between a signed quote and a paid invoice. A plumbing company with four vans needs crew schedules, routes, job checklists, time tracking and job costing to see which jobs were profitable. Jobber’s feature table lists all five, though job costing starts at Grow and crew scheduling comes only with Plus; GoHighLevel’s feature list includes none of them. For running the work itself, Jobber is the better tool.

How do GoHighLevel and Jobber compare on missed calls, texting and reviews?

This is where the two overlap, and they charge for it in opposite ways. GoHighLevel includes these features in every plan and bills each message from a prepaid wallet; Jobber puts them in higher plans or sells them as add-ons.

  • Missed calls. Missed Call Text Back is a phone-system setting on every GoHighLevel plan. Jobber’s Receptionist, a $29-a-month add-on, has an AI answer calls and texts around the clock, book visits into Jobber’s schedule and text back callers who hang up, which is more than a text back. GoHighLevel’s nearest match, Voice AI, is metered by use or sold through a $50 or $97 monthly AI Employee plan per location, and call charges apply either way.
  • Two-way texting. Every GoHighLevel plan has it. On Jobber it starts with Grow, while Connect sends automated reminders and follow-ups by text or email.
  • Review requests. Every GoHighLevel plan sends them, by hand or from a workflow. Jobber’s Marketing Suite, a $99-a-month add-on, requests a review automatically after every job and drafts replies with AI. Jobber’s marketing page adds that a Jobber website and Google Business Profile optimization come with every plan at no extra cost.
  • Lead pipeline. GoHighLevel’s CRM and pipelines are core features. Jobber’s Pipeline add-on, $49 a month, gathers open requests and quotes in one view.

On GoHighLevel, the messages are the cost: $0.00747 per US text segment, sent or received, plus a carrier fee of $0.0035 to $0.0050 per segment sent, or $0.675 per 1,000 emails. Jobber’s automatic review request has one real edge: Jobber knows when a job is finished. In GoHighLevel alone, a review request waits for someone to press the button or for a workflow you build to send it, though HighLevel’s QuickBooks integration can send one when a customer’s first invoice is paid in full.

When is GoHighLevel enough on its own for a contractor?

When the bottleneck is leads, not logistics. A roofer with one crew selling a few replacement jobs a month, or a plumber working alone, can run the business from one GoHighLevel pipeline: stages for inspection booked, estimate sent, signed, scheduled, complete and paid, with calendars for the visits, estimates that turn into invoices and a review request at the end. CinchStack’s solo bill for GoHighLevel, with 200 texts and 2,000 emails a month, comes to $103.51, and our local-service stack shows what a website and the rest of a one-location setup add.

The signs that you need field-service software are practical: two crews working at once, jobs that take several visits, technicians who need a daily route and checklist, payroll that runs on timesheets, or no clear view of which jobs were profitable. At that point, add a field-service tool rather than stretching GoHighLevel’s calendars into a dispatch board.

When does a contractor need only Jobber?

When the schedule is already full and most work comes back on its own. An HVAC company with maintenance agreements, or a plumber living on repeat customers and referrals, has a dispatch problem more than a lead problem. Jobber’s Connect plan handles reminders and follow-ups, Grow adds two-way texting, and the Receptionist and Marketing Suite add-ons cover missed calls and review requests. For a team of 2 to 5, Plus bundles both add-ons with Pipeline, and adding GoHighLevel on top would mostly pay twice for the same front end.

GoHighLevel earns a seat beside Jobber when the front end is busy: buying leads or running ads, building a landing page for each campaign, tracking which source each call came from, or nurturing estimates that sit for weeks before a homeowner decides.

What does running GoHighLevel and Jobber together cost each month?

On month-to-month billing for both, with GoHighLevel’s prices as checked on and Jobber’s as saved on 6 October 2026, the floor is:

  • One person: GoHighLevel Starter plus Jobber Core, $146 a month.
  • A crew of 2 to 5: GoHighLevel Starter plus Jobber Connect with 5 users, $296 a month.

GoHighLevel’s messages come on top: our small-team bill, with 1,000 texts and 20,000 emails, is $125.42 a month including the plan. Card fees come on top for both: Jobber’s own rates above, and on GoHighLevel the fees of the processor you connect, such as Stripe. Yearly billing lowers both, taking Starter to $80.83 a month and Jobber’s 5-user Connect to $149 a month billed annually.

For a crew, the fair benchmark is Jobber Grow at $299 a month, about what the pair costs, with two-way texting, job costing and custom automations in a single system. The pair is the better buy only if you will use GoHighLevel’s lead tools. It also makes Jobber’s Marketing Suite hard to justify, since GoHighLevel already handles review requests, email campaigns and social posting, and Receptionist becomes optional if a text back is all you want from a missed call.

The two connect through HighLevel’s own Jobber app, which Jobber’s App Marketplace lists with HighLevel as the developer. HighLevel’s help article describes a two-way client sync of names, email, phone, address, lead source and tags; Jobber’s custom fields, notes and attachments stay behind, and a Jobber account can link to only one GoHighLevel sub-account. The marketplace listing also offers jobs and job updates as sync choices and says review requests can go out automatically once a job is completed. Neither page says bookings made in GoHighLevel’s calendars reach Jobber’s schedule, so pick one calendar for estimate visits and let each tool send the messages for its own stage.

What does a contractor need before texting customers from GoHighLevel?

Before GoHighLevel can text a US mobile from a local number, the business has to pass A2P 10DLC registration: a brand, then a campaign, reviewed through The Campaign Registry. Missed Call Text Back depends on it too. HighLevel’s guide says that without a number eligible to send texts, the attempt fails and the reason appears in the conversation. Toll-free numbers go through a separate verification instead.

HighLevel’s A2P fee article lists these charges:

  • Once: $22.50 for a Sole Proprietor or Low Volume Standard brand, including a $3 Fast Track fee aimed at approval within 3 business days, plus $15.00 for each further campaign.
  • Every month: $1.50 for a Low Volume Mixed campaign, $2.00 for a Sole Proprietor campaign or $10.00 for standard use cases. HighLevel’s phone pricing guide says submitting a campaign starts the registration fee and the monthly fee, whatever the review decides.

Your paperwork picks the tier. Without a business tax ID, HighLevel offers only single-number registration, the Sole Proprietor tier in its fee table, with 1 number and 3,000 segments a day. A Low Volume Standard brand allows several numbers and 6,000 segments a day, ample for a contractor’s reminders and follow-ups.

Fix the website before you apply. HighLevel’s campaign guide asks for a live site showing your business name and contact details, a privacy policy, terms and conditions, sample messages with opt-out wording, and a description of how customers agree to receive texts, such as a consent checkbox on your quote-request form. After approval, confirm the number carries the A2P Verified label under Phone Numbers. Then budget $1.15 a month for the local number, $0.02 a minute for calls forwarded to your cell, and the per-text rates in our GoHighLevel SMS and calling cost guide.

What we could not verify:
  • Whether the 14-day trial requires a card up front: the signup form asks for business details first and its 'Trial Details' step was not reached. The pricing page says billing starts automatically when the trial ends unless canceled.
  • The 5% pass-through markup on A2P and carrier fees: the markup article (9 Sep 2026) says it applies whether or not rebilling is enabled and the Phone System guide (24 Sep 2026) says it 'always applies', but the same guide also says 'only when re-billing is enabled' and the A2P fee article says HighLevel adds no markup. The scenarios include it; without it they fall by $0.12 (solo), $0.30 (small) and $1.20 (growing).
  • The Phone System guide lists A2P monthly fees with the 5% built in (Sole Proprietor 'up to $2.10', Low Volume '$1.50-$10.50', High Volume '$10.50'), while the A2P article lists $2.00 / $1.50 / $10.00. The scenarios use the A2P article's $1.50.
  • Carrier fees depend on each recipient's carrier; the scenarios assume $0.0045 per outbound segment for every text.
  • Pay-per-use Conversation AI and Voice AI cost per conversation depends on token counts and cannot be priced in advance; only the per-token and per-minute rates are recorded.
  • The per-message price for US WhatsApp service messages beyond the free 1,000 a month (in force since 1 October 2026) appears only in an attached CSV ($0.0034 before the 5% fee), not in the guide's table.
  • HighLevel's pricing pages list no platform fee on payments taken through Stripe, PayPal, Square and other connected processors, but processor fees were not captured.
  • Domain purchase prices vary by TLD and were not captured.
  • Whether a dedicated email sending domain costs anything: the setup article lists no fee, but does not say it is free.
  • The $27/month Pause Plan is mentioned in HighLevel's billing FAQ, which also says agency accounts cannot be paused.
  • Enterprise pricing is quote-only.
  • HighLevel's in-app Wallet Pricing page (the source it calls authoritative for usage rates) requires a login and was not captured.
  • The dedicated email IP's unit: the pricing page and the dedicated IP article say $59 a month per IP, while HighLevel's Pricing Guide says "$59/mo per dedicated domain". The record follows the two that agree.
  • The Workflow Pro unit: HighLevel's Pricing Guide calls the $10 tier a price "for the agency" in one line but lists it per enabled sub-account in its table, and the Workflow Pro article counts allowances per sub-account. The record treats it as per sub-account.

We re-check every price against the vendor's page each Monday; changes are logged on the changes page. See a price that's wrong? Tell us and we will correct it the same week.

Frequently asked questions

Can GoHighLevel replace Jobber for quotes, invoices and payments?

For a small operation, GoHighLevel can handle the paperwork. HighLevel's help center describes estimates sent by email or text that the customer accepts or declines and that convert into an invoice, and payment runs through connected processors such as Stripe, PayPal and Square. HighLevel also documents a two-way QuickBooks integration. What GoHighLevel's published features leave out is the stretch between a signed estimate and the final invoice: crew scheduling, routing, job checklists, time tracking and job costing. Jobber is built around that stretch. Its Connect plan, $139 a month for one user on monthly billing when Jobber's pricing page was saved on 6 October 2026, adds automated client reminders, quote and invoice follow-ups and checklists, and its Grow plan adds job costing. A one-truck contractor quoting a few jobs a week can quote and bill in GoHighLevel. A company with several crews in the field should run the job itself in Jobber or another field-service tool.

Is GoHighLevel or Jobber cheaper for a one-person contractor?

Jobber is cheaper to start. When Jobber's pricing page was saved on 6 October 2026, its Core plan cost $49 a month for one user on monthly billing, or $29 a month billed annually, and covered quotes, scheduling, invoices, online payments and a website. GoHighLevel's Starter plan costs $97 a month before usage, and CinchStack's solo bill, with 200 texts and 2,000 emails a month, comes to $103.51.

The order flips as features are added. On Jobber, automated client reminders start with Connect at $139 a month for one user, and two-way texting with Grow at $199, while GoHighLevel's Starter already includes two-way texting, missed-call text back and review requests, with the messages, phone number and A2P fees billed on top. A solo contractor who mainly needs to quote, schedule and bill should pick Jobber Core. One who mainly needs to answer every call and follow up every lead should pick GoHighLevel.

Do GoHighLevel and Jobber charge per user?

GoHighLevel does not. Every GoHighLevel plan includes unlimited users and contacts, so the $97 Starter plan costs the same for an owner working alone as for a company where a dispatcher, three estimators and ten technicians all need logins.

Jobber prices by team size. Its pricing page, as saved on 6 October 2026, shows one-user prices for its Core, Connect and Grow plans, then separate tiers for 2 to 5 people, 6 to 10, 11 to 15, and 16 or more. The 2-to-5 tier includes 5 users, with Connect at $199 a month, Grow at $299 and Plus at $499 on monthly billing. For a growing crew, that structure matters more than the entry prices: Jobber's Connect costs $139 a month for one user but $199 for the 2-to-5 tier, and bigger teams move up to the larger tiers, while the GoHighLevel subscription stays at its plan price and only the usage charges grow with the business.

Does Jobber send review requests automatically?

Yes, through Marketing Suite. Jobber's marketing page says Marketing Suite sends an automatic review request after every job and lets you answer new reviews with an AI-drafted or custom reply. It is an add-on listed at $99 a month on Jobber's pricing page, saved on 6 October 2026, and it comes bundled in the Plus plan for teams of 2 to 5. The same marketing page says a Jobber website and Google Business Profile optimization come with every Jobber plan at no extra cost.

GoHighLevel includes review requests in every plan once a Google Business Profile is connected, sent by text or email, by hand or from a workflow step, and bills the messages: $0.00747 per US text segment plus a carrier fee, or $0.675 per 1,000 emails. A contractor running both tools need not buy Marketing Suite for this: the Jobber marketplace listing for HighLevel's app says it can send review requests automatically once a job is completed.

Can GoHighLevel track calls from my Google Business Profile?

Yes. HighLevel's help center describes a call-tracking switch for a connected Google Business Profile. Turning it on puts a LeadConnector number from your GoHighLevel account in the listing's primary phone slot, moves your existing number to the secondary slot and forwards calls to it, so calls to the listing's main number are logged in GoHighLevel. If nobody answers, Missed Call Text Back can text the caller from the tracking number.

HighLevel says moving a real number to the secondary slot has not been found to hurt rankings; that is HighLevel's own claim, so watch your listing's call volume after the change. Each forwarded call costs $0.02 a minute because both legs are billed, and the local number costs $1.15 a month. The text back also needs A2P 10DLC registration first: $22.50 once for a Sole Proprietor or Low Volume Standard brand, plus a campaign fee from $1.50 a month.

How do you connect GoHighLevel and Jobber?

With HighLevel's own Jobber app, which Jobber's App Marketplace lists with HighLevel as the developer. HighLevel's help article describes a two-way client sync covering first and last name, email, phone, address, lead source, tags, the Jobber client link and the date the client was created. Jobber's custom fields, notes and attachments do not sync, and a Jobber account can be linked to only one GoHighLevel sub-account.

You pick a start date for importing past clients once, and it cannot be changed afterward; the sync cannot be paused, only disconnected from Jobber's side. The marketplace listing adds jobs and job updates to the sync choices and says review requests can go out automatically when a job is completed. The app is installed from the agency view of a GoHighLevel account, then connected inside the sub-account. Neither page lists a fee for the app, and the texts and emails its workflows send are billed at the usual rates.

How long does A2P 10DLC approval take before I can text customers from GoHighLevel?

GoHighLevel's one-time A2P registration fee includes a $3 Fast Track charge aimed at approval within 3 business days, so plan on days rather than hours, and longer if the campaign is rejected. The fee is $22.50 for a Sole Proprietor or Low Volume Standard brand, and the monthly campaign fee starts at $1.50.

While a campaign shows Pending, HighLevel's campaign guide says not to create another campaign or resubmit. If it is rejected, open the required fixes, correct every item and resubmit; HighLevel's A2P fee article says a resubmission carries no new vetting fee. After approval, check that the sending number shows the A2P Verified label under Phone Numbers, because an approved campaign cannot carry texts until the number is linked to it. Getting the website right first saves a round trip: the guide asks for a live site with the business name and contact details, a privacy policy, terms and a clear description of how customers opt in.
