GoHighLevel add-ons: what each one costs and who needs it

Amber buttons and amber links are affiliate links: if you sign up through one, that vendor pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. Plain buttons and links are not. How we earn.

Quick answer

As of 26 September 2026, a single business on GoHighLevel's $97-a-month Starter plan rarely needs any of its paid add-ons. The exceptions: a clinic, dental practice or med spa keeping patient data in GoHighLevel should look at HIPAA compliance, $297 a month for the whole account, because HighLevel says accounts are not HIPAA compliant by default; once enabled, the add-on cannot be switched off. A business whose customers use WhatsApp pays $10 a month per sub-account plus per-message fees. Agencies should watch the add-ons billed per sub-account, such as SEO at $79 a month, because that bill grows with every client account it is switched on for.

Does a small business need any GoHighLevel add-ons?

Usually not. GoHighLevel’s Starter plan, at $97 a month, already includes the CRM, the website and funnel builder, calendars, workflows, reviews, courses and payments, plus 24/7 support. What pushes a single business’s bill up is usage, meaning texts, calls, email and AI drawn from a prepaid wallet, which the full GoHighLevel price breakdown covers. Most of HighLevel’s add-ons exist for agencies serving clients.

Five are worth a look for a single business:

  • AI Employee, if you want AI answering chats and calls. The Growth plan costs $50 a month per sub-account and includes 1,000 Conversation AI agent responses and 100 Voice AI minutes a month; Unlimited costs $97, subject to fair use. Calls the AI handles still carry phone charges.
  • WordPress hosting, if you are keeping a WordPress site rather than rebuilding it in GoHighLevel. Standard costs $10 a month for one site, or $108 a year.
  • Online listings management, $30 a month per sub-account, or $150 for six months or $300 a year, with a 3-month commitment. HighLevel says it helps keep your address, opening hours and phone number consistent across 70 or more websites.
  • HIPAA compliance or WhatsApp, each covered below, for medical practices and for businesses whose customers message them on WhatsApp.

The rest can wait. Premium Support, at $500 a month, costs more than five times the Starter plan. A dedicated email IP, $59 a month per IP, cannot be bought on Starter at all. Workflow Pro only matters if your automations lean on premium steps such as webhooks or Google Sheets; standard workflow steps cost nothing. Advanced Account Setup, a done-with-you setup service, is optional and costs $1,000 one time.

Which GoHighLevel add-ons are charged per sub-account?

For an agency, the unit beside each add-on matters more than its price, because HighLevel bills the agency for every sub-account where a per-sub-account add-on is switched on. This is how each one was billed when we checked on :

  • Per enabled sub-account, each month: AI Employee at $50 (Growth) or $97 (Unlimited), SEO powered by Search Atlas at $79, the Branded Client Portal App at $49, online listings at $30, the premium prospecting tool at $29, WhatsApp at $10, and Workflow Pro at $10, $25 or $50 depending on the tier.
  • Per IP or per site: a dedicated email IP at $59 per IP, and WordPress hosting at $10 per site on Standard, $220 a month for 25 sites on Utility, or $497 a month for unlimited sites on Truly Unlimited.
  • A flat monthly fee, not charged per sub-account: HIPAA compliance at $297 for the whole account, Premium Support at $500, the white label mobile app at $497, the HighLevel Certification Program at $97 and the Whitelabel Zap at $50.

The first group is where agency bills climb. Ten clients on the SEO add-on cost $790 a month, more than the $497 Agency Pro plan that runs the whole agency.

HighLevel always charges the agency first. Under Agency View > Reselling, an agency can deploy a service directly and absorb the cost, or let a client buy it inside their own sub-account at a price the agency sets. HighLevel’s Terms let that price exceed HighLevel’s own only on the $497 Agency Pro plan, and its pricing guide says rebilling AI Employee needs the same plan. Its rebilling article adds that monthly fees such as the WhatsApp subscription and WordPress hosting go straight to the card on file, not through the usage wallet.

Budget Workflow Pro per client too. HighLevel’s pricing guide calls the $10 tier a price “for the agency” in one line but marks Workflow Pro as per enabled sub-account in its table, while the Workflow Pro article counts allowances per sub-account and describes buying a plan from inside a sub-account. The marketing agency stack shows the rest of an agency’s software bill.

What do the white label app and other agency add-ons cost?

Most of these serve the agency itself or the package it sells, so a business running only its own brand can skip them; the Branded Client Portal App is the one to consider if you run a community in GoHighLevel.

  • White label mobile app: $497 a month, or $1,491 a quarter. Every plan already includes HighLevel’s own mobile app; this add-on puts your brand on the app your clients use with their HighLevel tools. It costs as much as the Agency Pro plan, on top of whichever plan you pay for.
  • Branded Client Portal App: $49 a month per enabled sub-account. A separate product for clients that run communities, giving their members mobile access. Clients order it while logged in to your white-labeled version of HighLevel, HighLevel handles fulfillment, and you set the price they see.
  • Whitelabel Zap: $50 a month. HighLevel’s team builds a Zap carrying your agency’s branding that feeds leads into your white-labeled account.
  • Premium prospecting tool: $29 a month per enabled sub-account. Every plan lists a prospecting tool among its core features; the premium version supports reports with weekly refreshes, AI-powered prospecting, website performance audits, SEO heatmaps and lead-generation widgets for assessing potential clients.
  • HighLevel Certification Program: $97 a month or $970 a year. Training on the platform and a HighLevel exam. The Terms say a certificate is not an endorsement and does not make its holder a HighLevel representative.
  • Premium Support: $500 a month or $5,000 a year. Depending on the package, HighLevel says it may add faster response paths, dedicated technical account management, a private Slack channel and quarterly business reviews.

The custom-priced Enterprise plan includes Premium Support, the white label mobile app and HIPAA compliance. An agency about to buy two of those three separately should ask HighLevel for an Enterprise quote first.

What does GoHighLevel’s HIPAA add-on cover, and which practices need it?

HighLevel’s pricing guide states that GoHighLevel accounts are not HIPAA compliant by default. Its HIPAA compliance add-on costs $297 a month on any plan and is charged once for the whole account; it is enabled for the agency and then configured for each sub-account that needs it. HighLevel describes it as additional compliance controls for protected health information workflows.

It matters to a medical clinic, dental practice or med spa that will store or send patient information through GoHighLevel, such as intake forms, appointment notes or messages about treatment. HighLevel’s own pages set out what the purchase does and does not do:

  • It is a condition of HighLevel’s Business Associate Agreement. The Terms make the BAA depend on an active, fully paid HIPAA subscription. If a payment fails, the agreement ends automatically and you alone are responsible for handling patient data compliantly.
  • HighLevel says it covers LC Email. Its LC Email article says the built-in email is HIPAA compliant while the package is active, citing a signed BAA with Mailgun.
  • It does not make your practice compliant. The Terms leave compliance with HIPAA to the customer and say HighLevel does not represent that your use of the platform will comply with any law.
  • AI features are off limits for patient data. The Terms have customers agree not to enter protected health information into HighLevel’s AI features, which matters if you hoped an AI Employee would answer patient messages.
  • It cannot be switched off. Once enabled, it cannot be deactivated or refunded.

For a single practice on Starter, the add-on costs about three times the plan and lifts the fixed bill to $394 a month before any texts or emails. For an agency with several healthcare clients, the account-wide price works in its favor: one fee, however many practices. Because the add-on cannot be switched off, a practice that uses GoHighLevel only for marketing and keeps patient records elsewhere should check with whoever handles its HIPAA obligations before buying. A practice that needs a CRM but not texting or funnels can compare Zoho CRM: its Standard plan, at $20 per user a month, lists HIPAA compliance among its features, though Zoho’s pricing pages list no built-in texting.

Which businesses should add WhatsApp to GoHighLevel?

GoHighLevel’s WhatsApp integration costs $10 a month for each sub-account with WhatsApp switched on, plus per-message charges that depend on the destination country and the message category. It suits a business whose customers already message it on WhatsApp, or one selling into countries where people prefer WhatsApp to texts, because the add-on brings those conversations into GoHighLevel.

For messages to US and Canadian numbers, the choice turns on the message type. A utility template, the category for order updates and appointment reminders, costs $0.0036 per delivered message, less than half of a one-segment text at $0.00747 plus its carrier fee. A marketing template costs $0.0263, more than twice that text. Per message, reminders cost less on WhatsApp and promotions cost less by text.

Outside the US and Canada the spread is wide: HighLevel’s rate table prices marketing messages to Germany and the Netherlands at more than five times the US rate, and to India and Turkey at under half of it. Look up your customers’ countries before budgeting.

Since 1 October 2026, utility templates sent inside the 24-hour customer service window are billed, and so are free-form service messages beyond the first 1,000 per WhatsApp phone number each month. Because replies that used to cost nothing now carry a charge, HighLevel’s guide tells agencies to review their rebilling multiplier, which defaults to 1.05x to cover payment processing, and any fixed-price client agreements.

Which GoHighLevel add-ons are hard to cancel?

Three commitments sit outside the headline prices:

  • HIPAA compliance cannot be deactivated once enabled, and HighLevel’s Terms name the HIPAA package among add-ons that cannot be canceled or refunded after HighLevel switches them on.
  • Online listings carries a 3-month commitment, and canceling it means giving HighLevel support the location name, location ID and a reason through chat.
  • A plan downgrade leaves add-ons running. HighLevel’s billing article says downgrading does not automatically cancel add-ons, Marketplace apps or phone numbers, so each one needs removing on its own.

The Pause Plan, $27 a month, is HighLevel’s suggested way to keep an account’s data instead of canceling, since a canceled account’s data is deleted after 90 days. The same billing article also says agency accounts cannot be paused, so confirm with HighLevel’s billing team that yours qualifies before counting on it. And if an invoice shows a second charge of $97 or $297, HighLevel’s billing FAQ notes that an AI Employee plan or the HIPAA add-on can share a plan’s price, so it may not be a duplicate.

The safe order is the same for every buyer: start with the plan alone, add an add-on only for a named client or a named need, and check whether it is billed per sub-account before switching it on.

What we could not verify:
  • Whether the 14-day trial requires a card up front: the signup form asks for business details first and its 'Trial Details' step was not reached. The pricing page says billing starts automatically when the trial ends unless canceled.
  • The 5% pass-through markup on A2P and carrier fees: the markup article (9 Sep 2026) says it applies whether or not rebilling is enabled and the Phone System guide (24 Sep 2026) says it 'always applies', but the same guide also says 'only when re-billing is enabled' and the A2P fee article says HighLevel adds no markup. The scenarios include it; without it they fall by $0.12 (solo), $0.30 (small) and $1.20 (growing).
  • The Phone System guide lists A2P monthly fees with the 5% built in (Sole Proprietor 'up to $2.10', Low Volume '$1.50-$10.50', High Volume '$10.50'), while the A2P article lists $2.00 / $1.50 / $10.00. The scenarios use the A2P article's $1.50.
  • Carrier fees depend on each recipient's carrier; the scenarios assume $0.0045 per outbound segment for every text.
  • Pay-per-use Conversation AI and Voice AI cost per conversation depends on token counts and cannot be priced in advance; only the per-token and per-minute rates are recorded.
  • The per-message price for US WhatsApp service messages beyond the free 1,000 a month (in force since 1 October 2026) appears only in an attached CSV ($0.0034 before the 5% fee), not in the guide's table.
  • HighLevel's pricing pages list no platform fee on payments taken through Stripe, PayPal, Square and other connected processors, but processor fees were not captured.
  • Domain purchase prices vary by TLD and were not captured.
  • Whether a dedicated email sending domain costs anything: the setup article lists no fee, but does not say it is free.
  • The $27/month Pause Plan is mentioned in HighLevel's billing FAQ, which also says agency accounts cannot be paused.
  • Enterprise pricing is quote-only.
  • HighLevel's in-app Wallet Pricing page (the source it calls authoritative for usage rates) requires a login and was not captured.
  • The dedicated email IP's unit: the pricing page and the dedicated IP article say $59 a month per IP, while HighLevel's Pricing Guide says "$59/mo per dedicated domain". The record follows the two that agree.
  • The Workflow Pro unit: HighLevel's Pricing Guide calls the $10 tier a price "for the agency" in one line but lists it per enabled sub-account in its table, and the Workflow Pro article counts allowances per sub-account. The record treats it as per sub-account.

We re-check every price against the vendor's page each Monday; changes are logged on the changes page. See a price that's wrong? Tell us and we will correct it the same week.

Frequently asked questions

Is GoHighLevel HIPAA compliant?

Not out of the box. HighLevel's pricing guide says GoHighLevel accounts are not HIPAA compliant by default, and compliance controls come from a paid add-on that costs $297 a month. Any plan can add it, it is charged once for the whole account, and it is then configured for the sub-accounts that hold patient data. HighLevel's Terms of Service tie its Business Associate Agreement to that add-on staying fully paid, so a failed payment ends the agreement automatically. The same Terms make each customer responsible for its own compliance with HIPAA and have customers agree to keep protected health information out of GoHighLevel's AI features. The add-on cannot be deactivated after it is enabled, and HighLevel's custom-priced Enterprise plan includes HIPAA compliance in its price.

How much does WhatsApp cost on GoHighLevel?

GoHighLevel's WhatsApp integration costs $10 a month for each sub-account with WhatsApp switched on, and delivered messages are billed on top from the prepaid usage wallet. Message prices depend on the destination country and the category. For US and Canadian numbers, HighLevel's guide lists marketing templates at $0.0263 and utility templates, used for order updates and appointment reminders, at $0.0036 per delivered message. HighLevel says a 5% payment-processing fee is added to WhatsApp rates, and the US figures in its table appear to include it already. Since 1 October 2026, utility templates sent inside the 24-hour customer service window are billed, and free-form service messages are billed after the first 1,000 per phone number each month. Conversations that start from a Click to WhatsApp ad stay free for 72 hours if the business replies within 24 hours.

How much does the GoHighLevel white label mobile app cost?

HighLevel lists its white label mobile app at $497 a month or $1,491 a quarter, which is the same as three monthly payments. It is an agency-level purchase rather than a per-client fee, charged on top of whichever GoHighLevel plan the agency already pays for, and the custom-priced Enterprise plan includes it. The app gives an agency's clients or other end users a mobile app under the agency's brand that connects to their HighLevel tools. It is not the same product as the Branded Client Portal App, a separate add-on at $49 a month per enabled sub-account that gives a client's community members mobile access to that community. HighLevel's Terms let agencies publish a white-labeled version in app stores, but they also say HighLevel is not responsible if the agency is unable to publish it.

How much is GoHighLevel's WordPress hosting?

GoHighLevel sells WordPress hosting in three plans, charged on top of the main subscription. Standard costs $10 a month for one site, or $108 a year. Utility costs $220 a month for 25 sites, and Truly Unlimited costs $497 a month for an unlimited number of sites. HighLevel hosts each site inside a sub-account, and site owners keep logging in to the normal WordPress admin to edit their content. Before any sub-account can use it, the account owner has to choose a plan under Agency > Reselling, and moving existing sites between plans goes through HighLevel support. For one business keeping a WordPress site, Standard puts hosting on the same bill as the CRM. An agency should compare Utility with paying per site, because Utility only works out cheaper when nearly all 25 of its slots are in use.

Do I need a dedicated email IP on GoHighLevel?

Most GoHighLevel accounts do not. A dedicated IP costs $59 a month per IP and can only be bought on the Unlimited and Agency Pro plans, so a Starter account cannot add one. HighLevel's dedicated IP article recommends sending at least 50,000 emails a week to keep a dedicated IP's reputation healthy, suggests one IP for every 1 million messages a month, and says a dedicated IP makes sense at hundreds of thousands to millions of emails a month. It also warns that irregular bursts from a dedicated IP can get mail flagged by spam filters, so a sender with uneven volume may do better on a shared IP. A dedicated IP can only be linked to a dedicated sending domain, and a new IP goes through a warm-up period in which mail may alternate with the old shared IP.

Is GoHighLevel's Workflow Pro plan worth it?

Only for sub-accounts whose automations run many premium steps. Standard workflow actions in GoHighLevel cost nothing. Premium triggers and actions, such as inbound webhooks, custom webhooks, Google Sheets and Slack steps, come with 100 free executions per sub-account for the life of the account and then cost $0.01 each. Workflow Pro swaps that rate for a monthly allowance: $10 for 10,000 executions with $0.008 overage, $25 for 30,000 with $0.006 overage, or $50 for 65,000 with $0.004 overage. Allowances are counted per sub-account, reset with each billing cycle and do not roll over. ChatGPT and Workflow AI steps are not covered and stay pay-as-you-go. A sub-account that runs only a few hundred premium steps a month spends less without Workflow Pro.

How much does the HighLevel certification cost?

The HighLevel Certification Program costs $97 a month or $970 a year, charged on top of a GoHighLevel subscription. HighLevel describes it as structured training for people who want to build product knowledge and validate their skills on the platform, and its Terms describe certification as passing a HighLevel-administered exam. The Terms also limit what a pass means: it is not a guarantee of quality or an endorsement, and the badge belongs to the individual who earned it, not to their agency. Participants allow HighLevel to list their name and contact details in its Certified Directory, and they may not present themselves as HighLevel employees, agents or partners. HighLevel can end anyone's participation at any time, for any reason. Treat it as training and a personal credential, not as a business relationship with HighLevel.
