Systeme.io pricing: what it really costs
Amber buttons are affiliate links: if you sign up through one, that vendor pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. Plain buttons are not. How we earn.
As of 26 September 2026, systeme.io's paid plans run $17 a month for Startup up to $97 a month for Unlimited, and the Free plan needs no credit card and covers 2,000 contacts. A solo course creator or freelancer should start on Free and move to Startup at $17 a month once contacts pass 2,000, though Startup still caps you at 10 automation rules and 10 funnels. The catch: once a Free account passes $10,000 in lifetime sales, systeme.io gives it 3 days to upgrade before payment pages stop accepting new sales.

Systeme.io plans and prices
Systeme.io's published plans as of 26 September 2026: the month-to-month price, the effective monthly price when billed annually, and what each plan is priced by (US list prices in USD).
| Plan | Monthly | Billed annually | Priced | Key limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FreeFree forever, no credit card. The revenue cap comes from the terms (Article 5a), not the pricing page: Free accounts are capped at USD 10,000 in lifetime sales revenue, affiliate commissions excluded (the plans API also sets maxTotalRevenue to 1,000,000 cents on Free only). After the cap and a 3-day window, payment pages stop accepting new sales until you subscribe to a paid plan. You are not upgraded or charged automatically. The badge limit comes from the help centre article on the affiliate badge. | Free | Free | per month | 2,000 contacts; 3 sales funnels (15 funnel steps); 1 automation rule, 1 workflow; 1 custom domain; 1 course, 500 students; 1 blog, 1 website (2 languages); 1 email campaign, 1 tag, 1 CRM pipeline; No evergreen webinars; USD 10,000 lifetime sales revenue cap; systeme.io affiliate badge cannot be removed |
| StartupBilled annually it costs $170 a year ("2 months free" on the pricing page's annual toggle), which the annual order page shows as $14.17/month. | $17 | $14.17per month | per month | 5,000 contacts; 10 sales funnels (50 funnel steps); 10 automation rules, 5 workflows; 3 custom domains; 5 courses, 5 blogs, 5 websites; 10 email campaigns, 10 tags, 5 CRM pipelines; No evergreen webinars |
| WebinarBilled annually it costs $470 a year, which the annual order page shows as $39.17/month. | $47 | $39.17per month | per month | 10,000 contacts; 50 sales funnels (300 funnel steps); 100 automation rules, 20 workflows; 10 custom domains; 20 courses, 20 blogs, 20 websites; 100 email campaigns, 100 tags, 20 CRM pipelines; 10 evergreen webinars |
| UnlimitedBilled annually it costs $970 a year. $970 ÷ 12 = $80.83/month, which the annual order page rounds to "$80.9". The pricing page calls contacts and physical product variants unlimited, but the plans API behind it caps this plan at 1,000,000 contacts and 5,000 product variants. | $97 | $80.83per month | per month | 100 CRM pipelines; Contacts listed as unlimited (plans API limit: 1,000,000); Physical product variants listed as unlimited (plans API limit: 5,000) |

What you will really pay
What a business actually pays for Systeme.io each month at three sizes, with every line of the bill shown. Built from the prices above as of 26 September 2026; open “How we worked this out” under any total for the assumptions.
Solo seller, $3,000/month in sales
$17 / month
high confidence- Startup plan, billed monthly$17
- Systeme.io transaction fee: 0% × $3,000 in sales$0
Plan: Startup · billed monthly.
How we worked this out
1 person with 1 staff account (the owner) selling $3,000/month. The sell grid fixes only sales and staff, and systeme.io tiers its plans by contacts, so we borrow the run-layer figure of about 1,000 contacts. Free is ruled out by its USD 10,000 lifetime sales cap, which this seller passes in month 4 ($3,000 × 4 = $12,000). Startup, billed monthly, covers it. Card processing is left out: at Stripe's standard 2.9% + 30¢, 2.9% × $3,000 = $87 plus 30¢ per order, paid to Stripe. Billed annually, the same plan costs $170/year ($14.17/month).
Small team, $30,000/month in sales, 3 staff accounts
$47 / month
medium confidence- Webinar plan, billed monthly$47
- 3 staff accounts (assistant accounts, unlimited on every plan)$0
- Systeme.io transaction fee: 0% × $30,000 in sales$0
Plan: Webinar · billed monthly.
How we worked this out
5 people with 3 staff accounts selling $30,000/month, using the borrowed run-layer figure of about 5,000 contacts. We chose Webinar over Startup for three reasons. Startup's 5,000-contact cap equals the assumed list, leaving no headroom. Going over it triggers an automatic upgrade after 3 days. And Startup allows only 10 tags, 10 automation rules and 10 funnels, which is tight at this sales volume. Assistant (staff) accounts are unlimited and included on every plan. Billed monthly. Card processing is left out: 2.9% × $30,000 = $870 plus 30¢ per order at Stripe's standard rate, paid to Stripe. The plan choice depends on the assumed list size and automation needs. If the list stays at or under 5,000 contacts and 10 tags and 10 automation rules are enough, Startup at $17/month works. Billed annually, Webinar costs $470/year ($39.17/month).
Growing team, $150,000/month in sales, 8 staff accounts
$97 / month
high confidence- Unlimited plan, billed monthly$97
- 8 staff accounts (assistant accounts, unlimited on every plan)$0
- Systeme.io transaction fee: 0% × $150,000 in sales$0
Plan: Unlimited · billed monthly.
How we worked this out
15 people with 8 staff accounts selling $150,000/month, using the borrowed run-layer figure of about 25,000 contacts. Unlimited is the only plan above Webinar's 10,000-contact cap, so the contact limit forces it. Assistant (staff) accounts are unlimited and included. Billed monthly. Card processing is left out: 2.9% × $150,000 = $4,350 plus 30¢ per order at Stripe's standard rate, paid to Stripe. Billed annually, Unlimited costs $970/year ($80.83/month). Free migration is included either way. The "For teams" plan adds a dedicated success manager at a price given only on a sales call.
The numbers above cover the ordinary case: paying by card, on the current plans, before any add-on. Here is what moves that number for a course creator or freelancer choosing between systeme.io’s tiers, and the parts of its own pricing page that do not tell the full story.
Which systeme.io plan fits a course creator or freelancer?
Systeme.io tiers its plans mostly by contact count, and that is the right first filter. Under 2,000 contacts, stay on Free: it needs no credit card, sends unlimited emails, and includes one course with up to 500 students. Once contacts pass 2,000, or sales get close to the free-plan cap covered below, $17 a month buys Startup — the plan behind the solo bill above.
Startup’s own limits show up fast: 10 tags, 10 automation rules and 10 sales funnels, with no evergreen webinars at all. A freelancer running more than a couple of active campaigns, or a course creator who wants an evergreen webinar funnel, needs Webinar at $47 a month instead — the plan behind the small-team bill above, with room for 10,000 contacts, 100 automation rules and 10 evergreen webinars. Unlimited, at $97 a month, raises the CRM pipeline count to 100 and is the plan behind the growing-team bill above; it suits a busy course business running several staff accounts. Its name oversells it slightly, though: the pricing page markets Unlimited’s contacts and product variants as unlimited, but the plans API behind it caps them at 1,000,000 contacts and 5,000 variants — high enough that almost no small business will hit it, but not literally unlimited. Above Unlimited sits a fifth tier, For Teams, which adds a dedicated success manager at a price given only on a sales call.
What’s the catch with the systeme.io free plan?
The Free plan’s biggest limit isn’t on the pricing page at all. Systeme.io’s terms cap every Free account at $10,000 in lifetime sales revenue, and affiliate commissions don’t count toward that total. Once an account crosses the line, it gets a 3-day window to upgrade, and after that its payment pages stop accepting new sales until it subscribes to a paid plan. Nobody is charged automatically; the account simply stops taking money until you act.
Two smaller catches ride along with it. Free accounts get only one automation rule and one workflow, so anything beyond a single welcome sequence needs a paid plan. And the systeme.io affiliate badge on Free pages cannot be removed — systeme.io’s own help centre describes removing it as a paid-plan feature.
What makes a systeme.io bill go up during the month?
Three things move the number beyond the plan price. First, running over your limits: go past your plan’s contact, funnel or course cap and systeme.io emails a 3-day warning, then automatically upgrades the subscription and bills the next plan’s price for the rest of that billing period — there’s no smaller top-up, only the next full plan. Second, card processing: systeme.io itself takes 0% of every sale, but whichever processor you connect still charges its own rate; Stripe’s standard US rate is 2.9% plus 30¢ per domestic charge, on top of the systeme.io subscription. Third, SMS: systeme.io has no messaging plan of its own, so turning it on means connecting your own Twilio account and paying Twilio’s rates directly, not systeme.io’s — its help centre is explicit that SMS costs and delivery are managed through Twilio.
Sellers with a large physical-product catalog hit a different wall entirely. Product variants are capped at 50 on Free, 100 on Startup, 250 on Webinar and, per the plans API, 5,000 even on Unlimited (see above); WooCommerce has no such cap on its free core plugin.
Is billing systeme.io annually worth it?
Paying yearly drops every paid plan from 12 payments to 10, billed as one charge for the year: Startup falls to $14.17 a month, Webinar to $39.17 and Unlimited to $80.83. Systeme.io’s own pricing page calls this “2 months free.” Annual billing on any plan, or the Unlimited plan even month-to-month, also comes with a free done-for-you migration from your old platform — a perk monthly Startup and Webinar customers don’t get.
The commitment cuts both ways. Subscriptions are non-refundable under systeme.io’s terms, whatever the billing period, so a yearly plan locks in a full year’s spend with no money-back option if the business changes course. Downgrading isn’t self-serve either way: you contact support, they send a custom order form, and you have to fit the lower plan’s limits before they’ll process it.
Where does the systeme.io pricing page contradict itself?
The pricing page’s own FAQ disagrees with its comparison table in three places. The FAQ, marked “last updated: April 2026,” claims Startup has unlimited funnels and Webinar has unlimited everything, but the comparison table and the plans API both cap Startup at 10 funnels and Webinar at 50. The same FAQ’s “all plans include” section promises unlimited students, while the table and API cap Free at 500. And the FAQ says you can downgrade from your account settings, while the help centre describes a process that goes through support instead. This page follows the comparison table, the plans API and the help centre wherever they disagree with the FAQ.
One more rule is worth knowing before you pay by card: upgrading turns the unused time on your current plan into a free trial of the new one before the full new price is charged. PayPal can’t prorate that way, so a PayPal subscriber who upgrades pays the full new price immediately and has to ask support to cancel the old subscription separately.
How does systeme.io’s price compare with Kajabi, ClickFunnels and GoHighLevel?
Systeme.io’s entry paid plan undercuts the other course-and-funnel platforms by a wide margin. Kajabi’s cheapest listed plan, Basic, costs $179 a month, more than ten times systeme.io’s Startup price, though Kajabi bundles a Cofounder AI assistant and unlimited landing pages from that first plan. ClickFunnels’s entry plan, Launch, costs $97 a month — the same as systeme.io’s own Unlimited plan — and, like systeme.io, ClickFunnels takes no cut of sales.
GoHighLevel is priced differently again. Its Starter plan also lists at $97 a month, but that figure excludes texting, calling and most AI, which are billed separately from a prepaid wallet; a solo operator’s real bill there lands closer to $103.51. Beyond the card-processing fees every platform pays, systeme.io’s only per-use charge is SMS through your own Twilio account, and only if you turn SMS on at all. The full breakdowns are at GoHighLevel vs systeme.io and systeme.io vs Kajabi.
Add-ons, usage and other costs
Other costs that change the real bill: fees, processing and one-time charges.
| Cost | Amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Systeme.io transaction fee | 0% of each sale, on every plan | The comparison table shows 0% transaction fees on Free, Startup, Webinar and Unlimited. The page also says "Accept payments using Stripe or PayPal at no extra cost". |
| Card processing (Stripe standard US rate) | 2.9% + 30¢ per successful domestic card charge | Stripe charges this on your own connected Stripe account. Systeme.io does not charge it. Stripe adds 1.5% for international cards, 0.5% for manually entered cards and 1% when currency conversion is needed. It is left out of the scenario totals because every platform pays it. PayPal and the other gateways charge their own rates, which were not captured. |
| SMS sending (through your own Twilio account) | Billed by Twilio at Twilio's rates | Systeme.io's SMS feature sends through a Twilio account you connect. Its help centre says "SMS costs and delivery are managed directly through Twilio". Systeme.io publishes no SMS rate of its own. |
| Automatic upgrade when usage exceeds a paid plan's limits | Next plan's price for the rest of the billing period | If a paid account goes over its limits (contacts, funnels, courses, etc.), systeme.io emails you and gives you 3 days to cut usage. After that it upgrades the subscription and bills the new plan's price for the rest of the period. |
Billing rules worth knowing
- Every paid plan can be billed monthly or annually. Annual billing costs 10× the monthly price ("2 months free"): $170, $470 or $970 a year for Startup, Webinar or Unlimited.
- Subscriptions are not refundable (terms, Article 3). The terms also say prices can change at any time, but an order keeps the price shown when it was placed.
- Downgrading is not self-serve. You contact support, they send a custom order form, and you must fit the lower plan's limits. Cancelling takes effect just before the next renewal date.
- Upgrading by card turns the time left on your current plan into a free trial of the new plan, and then the full new price is charged. PayPal cannot prorate, so PayPal users pay the full new price straight away and must ask support to cancel the old subscription.
- Free done-for-you migration comes with the Unlimited monthly plan or any annual plan.
- Every plan, including Free, includes unlimited assistant (staff) accounts. Assistants and admins cannot reach owner-only areas such as the plan, payment gateways and custom domains.
- Every plan also allows unlimited sub-accounts, and each sub-account gets the same limits as the main plan. Selling sub-accounts below systeme.io's official prices breaks the terms.
- With white label, a reseller keeps 100% of what they charge and systeme.io takes no revenue share. Resale prices cannot be lower than systeme.io's official price in that currency.
- The pricing page contradicts itself in places. Its FAQ (marked "Last updated: April 2026") says Startup has "unlimited funnels" and Webinar "unlimited everything", but the comparison table and the plans API show 10 and 50 funnels. The "All plans include" section says unlimited students, while the table and API show 500 on Free. The same FAQ says you can downgrade from your account settings, but the help centre says downgrades go through support. This record follows the table, the API and the help centre.

Automated re-check on : all 3 prices we re-read were still on Systeme.io's pages.
- The "For teams" plan has no published price. It is quoted only on a sales call.
- Monthly-plan checkout pages are not public (systeme.io/startup and /unlimited return 404, and /webinar is an inactive page). The monthly prices come from the pricing page and the plans API it loads. Monthly upgrades happen inside the app.
- The Perks rows in the comparison table (free migration, early access) and other check-mark features are drawn as icons and did not come through as text. Free-migration eligibility comes from the free-migration page instead.
- The pricing FAQ tells agencies wanting white label or resale to contact systeme.io for white-label pricing, while the help centre describes a self-serve white-label feature. We captured no separate white-label fee.
- SMS cost depends on the customer's own Twilio account and was not captured.
- Third-party reviews say Startup cost $27/month before a cut to $17 in May 2025. We did not capture a vendor source for the old price, so it is not recorded in history.

Frequently asked questions
Is systeme.io really free?
Yes, systeme.io's Free plan costs $0 a month forever, with no credit card required to sign up. It covers 2,000 contacts, 3 sales funnels, 1 course with up to 500 students, 1 custom domain and unlimited email sends, and takes 0% of your sales. The catch sits in the terms rather than the pricing page: a Free account is capped at $10,000 in lifetime sales revenue, and affiliate commissions don't count toward that total. Once an account crosses it, systeme.io gives you 3 days to upgrade, and after that its payment pages stop accepting new sales until you subscribe to a paid plan; you are never charged automatically. Free accounts are also limited to a single automation rule, and the systeme.io affiliate badge on your pages can only be removed on a paid plan.
How much does systeme.io cost per month?
Systeme.io has one free plan and three paid plans, each billed monthly or annually. Startup costs $17 a month for 5,000 contacts, Webinar $47 a month for 10,000 contacts plus evergreen webinars, and Unlimited $97 a month, which raises contacts and CRM pipelines well past what a small business needs. Paying annually lowers those to $14.17, $39.17 and $80.83 a month, billed as one charge of $170, $470 or $970 for the year; systeme.io calls this "2 months free." A fifth tier, For Teams, adds a dedicated success manager at a price given only on a sales call. None of the four published plans charge a percentage of sales; systeme.io's own transaction fee, on every plan including Free, is 0%.
Does systeme.io charge a transaction fee on sales?
No. Systeme.io's comparison table lists a 0% transaction fee on every plan, including Free, and its pricing page says you can accept payments through Stripe or PayPal at no extra cost from systeme.io itself. That doesn't make selling free of processing costs, though: whichever card processor you connect still charges its own rate. Stripe's standard US rate is 2.9% plus 30 cents per successful domestic card charge, with added percentages for international cards, manually entered cards and currency conversion. That fee goes to Stripe, not to systeme.io, and it applies no matter which sell-layer platform you use, so it isn't a reason to rule systeme.io out against competitors that also route payments through Stripe or PayPal.
What happens if I go over my systeme.io plan's limits?
Systeme.io does not cut you off right away. If a paid account exceeds its plan's caps on contacts, funnels, courses or similar limits, systeme.io emails a warning and gives you 3 days to bring usage back down. If you don't, it automatically upgrades the subscription to the next plan and bills that plan's price for the rest of the current billing period; a Startup account that outgrows its limits, for example, gets moved to Webinar and billed $47 for the remainder of that period. There's no smaller top-up or overage fee, only the choice to cut usage within 3 days or accept the next plan's price. The Free plan works differently: instead of upgrading you automatically, it simply stops accepting new sales once you pass its lifetime revenue cap.
Can I get a refund on systeme.io, or downgrade my plan?
Refunds are unlikely either way. Systeme.io's terms and conditions state that subscriptions are not refundable, whether you're billed monthly or annually, so a yearly plan locks in a full year's charge with no money-back option. Downgrading isn't handled from your account settings, despite what the pricing page's own FAQ claims; systeme.io's help centre describes a support-ticket process instead, where you contact the team, they send a custom order form, and you have to bring your usage inside the lower plan's limits before they will process it. Cancelling a subscription entirely takes effect just before your next renewal date, so you keep access through the period you already paid for rather than losing it immediately.
Does systeme.io charge extra for SMS marketing?
Systeme.io has no SMS pricing of its own. Sending text messages means connecting your own Twilio account, and systeme.io's help centre says SMS costs and delivery are managed directly through Twilio rather than through systeme.io. That means the per-message rate depends on your Twilio plan and the destination country, not on which systeme.io plan you're on, and Twilio bills it to your Twilio account separately from your systeme.io subscription. If built-in texting without opening a third-party account matters to your business, that's a reason to look at a platform that bills SMS itself rather than through a connected provider. Every other messaging feature, including email sending and automation rules, is included in the plan price with no per-send charge.
Is systeme.io cheaper than Kajabi or ClickFunnels?
At the entry tier, yes, by a wide margin. Systeme.io's Startup plan costs $17 a month, against Kajabi's cheapest listed plan, Basic, at $179 a month, and ClickFunnels' cheapest plan, Launch, at $97 a month. That gap narrows near the top: systeme.io's Unlimited plan costs $97 a month, the same as ClickFunnels' Launch plan. GoHighLevel's Starter plan also lists at $97 a month, though that figure excludes the texting, calling and AI usage GoHighLevel bills separately from a wallet. The lower price buys less in some ways: Kajabi bundles an AI assistant and unlimited landing pages from its first plan, and ClickFunnels allows more team-member seats, so the right pick depends on which features a business actually needs, not price alone.
